ACRE (Center for Advanced Carbon-Cycle Research and Education) was formed to facilitate research collaboration and graduate training on carbon-cycle science. The personnel are located in the College of Earth & Mineral Sciences, allied departments, and intercollege research programs across the University. The center builds upon the considerable body of expertise on various elements of the carbon-cycle that exists within the College of Earth & Mineral Sciences and other Penn State colleges, most notably the College of Agricultural Sciences.
